Exports of wire rod from Brazil reached 15,400 tons in November against 10,100 tons in October, according to the SECEX foreign trade agency.
The destinations in November were South America (7,200 tons at a price of 581 US dollars per ton), Guatemala (6,300 tons at a price of 525 US dollars per ton), the United States (1,700 tons at a price of 581 US dollars per ton), $748/ton) and Canada (200 tons at a price of $918/t), FOB terms.
The exporters were Gerdau (9,000 tons) and ArcelorMittal (6,400 tons).
At the same time, Brazil imported 6,500 tons of wire rod in November against 21,200 tons in November. October.
The sources of imports were China (4,800 tons at a price of 478 US dollars/ton), Egypt (1,100 tons at a price of 588 US dollars/ton) and Germany (600 tons at a price of 904 US dollars/ton), also on FOB terms.
