This is the company's second order for a compact size pellet plant in India within a short period of time, following another agreement announced in November 2025, as previously reported by SteelOrbis. The new pellet plant will be added to the new Greta Energy project, which aims to produce 1.2 million tons of pellets annually.
The compact installation is built around a three-meter wide roasting machine. The scope of delivery also includes control and measuring devices and automation systems that ensure rational and efficient operation.
Nitesh Chaudhary, Chairman of Greta Energy Group, highlighted the importance of the project, noting that this installation is the first of its kind for India at this technological scale. He stressed the importance of small pellet plants in expanding steel production in India and praised the cooperation with Metso for its smooth progress up to the contract signing stage.
