Car sales in India, indicated by new registrations of all categories, were tentatively estimated at 3.3 million units in November 2025, an increase of 2.14 percent year-on-year, according to data released by the Federation of Indian Automobile Dealers (FADA) on Wednesday, December 10.
However, passenger car sales showed steady growth of 20 percent in November 2025 to 394,152 units, FADA data showed.Dealers also reported a decrease in average passenger car inventories to 44-46 days, compared with 53-55 days earlier, FADA said.However, sales of two-wheeled vehicles declined by three percent in November, while sales of vehicles used in the construction sector fell by 17 percent.
However, retail sales of three-wheeled vehicles increased by 24 percent, while tractor sales increased by 57 percent year-on-year.
