Imports of HRC to the United States in August 2025 decreased by 23.7 percent compared to July

According to preliminary data from the U.

S. Department of Commerce, imports of hot-rolled sheet to the United States totaled 74,966 tons in August this year, which is 23.7 percent less than in July and 38.4 percent less than in August 2024.

The United States imported the most HRC from Canada in August, at 39,005 tons, compared with 36,238 tons in July and 68,407 tons in August last year. The other largest sources of imported HRC in August are South Korea (9,420 tons), the Netherlands (8,556 tons), Vietnam (5,554 tons), Brazil (5,434 tons), Mexico (2,626 tons), Germany (1,168 tons) and Belgium (1,122 tons)>.
