In November, JSW produced 1.26 million tons of coal, which is 107.1 percent of the plan, while in the first 11 months of this year, coal production reached 12.18 million tons, which is 99.3 percent of the planned figure. This month, the company's coking coal production reached 1.05 million tons, which is 99.4% of the target.
In this month, JSW sold 1.04 million tons of coal, which is 76.7 percent of the planned volume, while sales of coking coal reached 870,000 tons, which is 73.4 percent of the target. The lower-than-expected total coal sales were mainly due to lower sales of coking coal as a result of the difficult market situation in the European steel industry. Logistical difficulties and the consequences of previous incidents at the mine, which affected the quality of the raw materials produced, also affected shipment levels.
