The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that at the beginning of December (December 1-10) this year, the average cumulative daily production of crude steel by large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all members of CISA - was 1.869 million tons, up 2.8 percent from the end of November (November 21-30) this year.
At the end of November, the average daily production of crude steel China's large and medium-sized steel enterprises totaled 1.818 million tons, down 6.4 percent from mid-November (November 11-20) this year.
Inventory levels of China's large and medium-sized steel enterprises increased during the period. As of December 10, finished steel inventories of China's large and medium-sized iron and steel enterprises totaled 14.75 million tons, an increase of 3.3 percent compared to November 30.
