In early December (December 1-10) of this year, the average price in China for HRB 400E 20 mm rebar increased by 23.4/mt ($3.3/mt) or 0.7 percent to 3,191.8 yuan/ton ($451.5/mt) compared with the price at the end of November (November 21-30), as announced by the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
During this period, average prices for wire rod, hot-rolled roll (HRC) and corners increased by 1.4 percent, 0.1 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, while average prices for medium-thickness steel sheet and seamless steel pipes remained stable, all compared to the end of November.
