According to the American Institute of Iron and Steel (AISI), for the week ending December 13, 2025, domestic production of raw steel in the United States amounted to 1,753 million net tons, and the capacity utilization rate was 76.5 percent.
Production for the week ending December 13, 2025 increased by 1.1 percent compared to the previous week ending December 6, 2025, when production was 1.734 million net tons and capacity utilization was 75.7 percent.
For the week ended December 13, 2024, production amounted to 1.665 million net tons, and capacity utilization was 75.0 percent. Production this week represents an increase of 5.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Adjusted production from the beginning of the year to December 13, 2025 amounted to 85,881 million net tons with a capacity utilization rate of 76.8 percent. This is 3.4 percent more than 83.068 million net tons in the same period last year, when the capacity utilization rate was 75.4 percent.
