Manganese ore shipments from Port Hedland, Australia totaled 146,000 metric tons in November this year, down 4.2 percent month-on-month and 75.9 percent more than last year, according to monthly data released by the Port of Port Hedland Authority.
China, meanwhile, accounted for 65 percent of total shipments this month manganese ore, followed by India with 20.5 percent, Malaysia with 7.5 percent and Indonesia with 7 percent.
Port Hedland operates mines owned by BHP Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group and Atlas Manganese in the manganese-rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
