Turkish steel pipe manufacturer Borusan Birleşik Boru Fabrikaları Ticaret A.
Ş. (Borusan Boru) announced that its US subsidiary Borusan Berg Pipe has received a new pipe supply order valued at $553 million following extensive commercial negotiations in the US.
Production planned at the Alabama plant
Under the terms of the agreement, large diameter linear pipes will be produced at the Borusan Berg plant Pipe Mobile in Alabama. Production is scheduled for 2027, with deliveries also expected to be completed in the same year, according to a company statement.
Borusan Boru said that the contract is expected to make a positive contribution to the company's turnover in 2027.
However, the company also noted that the financial contribution may be adjusted depending on the project's performance, timing and normal fluctuations in market conditions.
