The project is designed to supply high-speed railway rails and special steels to major railway infrastructure facilities, with the first products scheduled to be launched in 2027.
The railway and special steel mill will contribute to state budget revenues, stimulate the growth of local industry and services, reduce dependence on steel imports, and support Vietnam's expanding transportation infrastructure.
Plant location, capacity and investments
The facility is located in the Eastern Industrial Park of the Dung Quat Economic Zone in Quang Ngai Province and will be developed on an area of almost 15 hectares. Its projected production capacity is 700,000 tons per year, and the total investment exceeds 10 trillion dong ($379.75 million).
The plant will be equipped with modern production lines supplied by the German SMS Group and the British Primetals Technologies, which will ensure stable product quality that meets international high-speed rail standards.
