Meanwhile, global DRI production increased 4.5 percent year-on-year. to 118.02 million metric tons in the first eleven months of this year, an increase of 4.6 percent compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
Worldsteel data shows that India was the largest producer of direct recoveries among the countries surveyed in November this year, with direct recoveries producing 4.85 million metric tons in that month. India was followed in November by Iran, Russia and Saudi Arabia with production of 3.82 million tons, 620,000 tons and 519,000 tons, respectively.
