The Jiangsu Province-based Shagang Group, China's largest private steel producer, recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding, part of the Chinese state-owned Shipbuilding Corporation. Accordingly, both sides will focus on comprehensive cooperation in shipbuilding and steel supply, aiming to open a new chapter of a powerful alliance and mutual, mutually beneficial success based on their respective industrial advantages.
Shagang operates several advanced production lines that can make it capable of precisely meeting the steel requirements for various types of vessels.
The cooperation between the two sides will contribute to the coordinated modernization of the upstream and processing sectors of the shipbuilding and steel industries, which will give a powerful impetus to the high-quality development of the high-tech equipment manufacturing sector in China.
