Ş. announced the signing of a contract for the installation of a 35.2 MW solar power plant (SPP) to meet the electricity needs of Turkish steel producer Ekinciler Demir Çelik A.
Ş. in Iskenderun.
The project will be implemented using a build-operate-transfer model. The project, with an investment budget of approximately $28 million, will be built in Eskisehir, and all investment and project financing, including installation, will be provided by YEO Teknoloji.
Annual generation target of 65 GWh
The solar power plant is expected to generate approximately 65 GWh of electricity annually. The operation and maintenance period of the plant has been set at 10 years, during which YEO Teknoloji will ensure the productivity and continuity of the plant.
The solar power plant is designed to support the existing use of green energy by Ekinciler Demir Çelik A.
Ş. and making a significant contribution to the company's decarbonization strategy. With the help of the project, a significant part of the company's electricity consumption is planned to be met from renewable energy sources.
