According to export data from the U.
S. Department of Commerce, exports of mechanical tubing to the United States totaled 4,562 tons in August this year, which is 4.1 percent less than in July and 25.0 percent less year-on-year. In value terms, exports of mechanical tubing totaled $15.02 million in August, compared with $15.68 million in the previous month and $17.25 million in the same month last year.
The U.
S. shipped the majority of mechanical tubing to Mexico in August, with 3,100 tons, compared with 3,043 tons in July and 3,537 tons in August last year. Another popular destination was Canada with 1,175 metric tons. In August, there were no other significant destinations (1,000 tons or more) for the export of mechanical tubing from the United States.
