This month, steel technology developer Projeart will launch an HDG plant in Fortaleza, the capital of Brazil's northeastern state of Ceará.
With an estimated investment of $10 million, the plant will be equipped with a 15-cubic-meter HDG tank, the largest of its kind in Brazil.
The company said that the majority of its galvanizing services are currently for northern and northeastern regions is carried out. in other locations, resulting in higher freight costs, longer delivery times and higher logistics risks. The new plant will help reduce these costs, reduce lead times, reduce cargo handling volumes and provide greater predictability for large-scale projects.
According to Projeart director Odmar Feitosa, the plant's close location to the ports of Fortaleza and Pecem allows it to supply other areas to serve international markets.
