According to Fenix Resources, an Australian mining company, the company shipped a total of 1,241,000 metric tons of iron ore to 21 ships during the December quarter, the highest quarterly shipment volume in its history and the first production quarter to exceed one million tons.
The mining company said that this performance corresponds to an annual production volume of about 4.9 million tons per year, highlighting the scalability of its integrated mining and logistics model implemented for its iron ore projects in the Midwest region of Australia.
According to Fenix Resources, the record shipment result reflects a combination of operational improvements across the value chain. These included optimizing mining operations at the company's iron ore assets in the Midwest, efficient transportation services provided by its subsidiary logistics company Newhaul, and optimizing port operations at the Port of Geraldton.
Fenix Resources has confirmed its updated financial forecasts for 2026 for total iron ore sales in the range of 4.2 million tons to 4.8 million tons.
The miner reported that the total volume of shipments in the first half of fiscal year 2026 reached 2,127,000 tons. According to the company, this allows Fenix to fulfill its annual recommendations, subject to normal market conditions and the absence of unforeseen disruptions.
