Turkish integrated long-gauge steel manufacturer Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.
S. He announced that he had signed contracts for the supply of railway transport totaling 22,980 tons with the General Directorate of the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) and seven different regional administrations.
Technical specifications and scope of the project
According to local media reports, Kardemir will produce 36-meter-long Class 60E1 R260 rails in accordance with the agreements.
The supplied rails will be used in projects carried out by the TCDD regional directorates in Ankara, Izmir, Sivas, Malatya, Adana and Afyon, as well as by the TCDD General Directorate and the Regional Directorate of High-speed Railways.
Strategic role in Turkey's railway infrastructure
Kardemir stated that he continues to contribute to the strengthening of Turkey's railway infrastructure through his domestic production capabilities and accumulated experience in railway production. With these new contracts, the company further strengthens its position as a strategic supplier in the railway sector.
