Steel imports to Vietnam will decrease by 9.2 percent in 2025

According to data released by the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam, in December 2025, steel imports to Vietnam amounted to 1.82 million tons, which is 19.7 percent more than in November, and scrap imports amounted to 683,854 tons, an increase of 59.1 percent compared to the same month.

In 2025, steel imports to Vietnam decreased by 9.2 percent year-on-year to 16.09 million tons, while scrap imports totaled 6.25 million tons over the period, an increase of 27.2 percent year-on-year.
