Last December, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey rose 12.6 percent year-on-year and 44.1 percent month-on-month to 191,620 units, according to statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD). Turkey's domestic passenger vehicle sales for the month rose 8.5 percent year-on-year and 39.6 percent month-on-month to 146,319 units, while light commercial vehicle sales rose 27.8 percent year-on-year and 60.7 percent month-on-month to 45,301 units.
For the full year 2025, domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles grew 10.5 percent year-on-year to 1,368,400 units. In the year under review, domestic passenger vehicle sales in the country grew by 10.6 percent to 1,084,496 units, while light commercial vehicle sales increased by 10.0 percent to 283,904 units year on year.
