Last November, exports of hot rolled steel (HRC) to Turkey totaled 150,586 metric tons, down 25.2 percent from October and up 47.3 percent year-on-year, according to preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, revenue from these exports totaled $83.85 million, down 27% from the previous month and up 36.1% year-on-year.
In the first eleven months of 2025, Turkey's HRC exports totaled 2.65 million tons, an increase of 26.5%, while the value of these exports increased by 14% to $1.53 billion, year-on-year.
Export of hot rolled coils to Turkey - the last 12 months
During the specified period, Italy was the largest export destination of HRC to Turkey with 773,368 tons, which is 26.6 percent more year-on-year. Italy is followed by Spain with 407,147 tons, an increase of 63.4%, and Portugal with 233,800 tons, an increase of 109.4% compared to the same period in 2024.
