In the first two months of this year, the Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant named after Dzerzhinsky, owned by the modest Russian investors, reduced the production of steel to 511 thousand tons, which is 5% less than in January - February 2012. This was reported by the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine.
In addition, the production of metal rolling during this period was reduced by 6% - to 519 thousand tons and cast iron smelting amounted to 473 thousand tons, which is 10.5% less than in the first two months of 2012.
As we have already reported, last year DMKD produced 3 million 140 thousand tons of steel, melted 3 million 15 thousand tons of cast iron and manufactured 3 million 160 thousand tons of metal rolling.
