Despite the obvious excess of metallurgical capacities, steel production growth in China continues to increase. According to the local Association of ferrous metallurgy, the daily volume of the spilled in China became increased at the end of February 2013 to 2 million 34 thousand tons, which is 1.4% more than in the middle of last month.
At the same time, the production of steel on large and medium -sized missile defense systems also increased by 0.79% and amounted to 1 million 732 thousand 300 tons.
As it became known today, the largest metallurgical enterprise in China Baosteel intends to expand its production capacities for smelting by another 16 million tons per year.
General Director of Baosteel, Mr. Henbo, said that the increase in production of production will occur at the factory in the port city of the province of Guangdun Zhangzyan. Production from Shanghai and Guangzhou will be transferred there.
Recall that in the middle of last year, the Shanghai authorities almost forced Baosteel to sign an agreement providing for the restriction of steel production within the city. The local population repeatedly and persistently fought for the complete closure of the metallurgical capacities of irreparable harm to the environment and health of people.
Having signed the contract with the municipality of Shanghai in July 2012, Baosteel took the obligation to reduce the production of steel and metal rolling in the city by 12 million tons.
Daily production of steel in China exceeded two million tons
