In February 2013, Ukrainian metallurgical plants produced 2 million 601 thousand 210 tons of steel, which is 8.6% less than in January 2013. This was reported in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
In February, Ukrainian metallurgists smelted 2 million 260 thousand 350 tons of cast iron, which is also 9.5% less than in January of this year. Last month, 2 million 273 thousand 790 tons were produced in Ukraine, which is 9.9% less than in January 2013.
Meanwhile, the production of pipes in February increased by a third compared to January and amounted to 121 thousand 500 tons.
Last month, Ukrainian Koksochemical Plants reduced the production of coke by 10.4% to 1 million 366 thousand 100 tons.
