Vladimir Boyko lobbying the interests of the mining and metallurgical complex in the parliament of Ukraine

Владимир Бойко лоббирует интересы горно-металлургического комплекса в парламенте Украины
Questions related to the Mining and Metallurgical Complex of Ukraine in parliament are supervised by the honorary president of the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after Ilyich Vladimir Boyko. This was reported by the corporate publication of the plant - the newspaper "Ilyichevets".

Vladimir Boyko defends the interests of the Ilyich plant and the Metinvest group in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the report said. In addition, he has to think about “how to help at the moment enterprises of the mining and metallurgical complex”. According to Boyko, Metinvest experts have developed a number of proposals to increase the effectiveness of the interaction of the state and the mining-metallurgical complex to ensure sustainable operation of the industry.

“The situation is very difficult, and I would like the government to correctly evaluate the state of affairs and develop laws and decisions on state support of this industry. Over the past four years, gas, coal, electricity, transportation prices have grown over the past four years, and the metal has only fallen for metal. Many countries, such as France and Russia, have already made a number of decisions to support the mining and metallurgical industry,” says the deputy.

Vladimir Semenovich does not forget about the domestic market of the country. In his opinion, it is necessary to create conditions for the development of their own market for the consumption of metal rolling. The strengthened domestic market will revive the basic industries of the country: construction, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding. Following the growth of production in these sectors, the rise will begin in metallurgy.

However, in addition to the development of Ukrainian steel consumption, a complete modernization of obsolete metallurgical equipment is needed. "It is necessary to modernize, automate and mechanize production processes, abandon Marten production, which will reduce the energy intensity and costly," said Vladimir Boyko.

Meanwhile, the main problem in Ukrainian metallurgy, the people's deputy, sees the untimely VAT refund and income tax, as well as the unreasonable increase in tariffs for the transportation of ferrous metallurgy products.
