Voestalpine expands its leadership in the segment of the production of special engineers

Voestalpine International Corporation continues to expand its share in the world production of special steels for cars and shipbuilding. The department of special studies under the leadership of Franz Rotter recently acquired a controlling stake in the Dusseldorf company Eifler, whose annual income is about 50 million euros and staff of employees totals 330 people. “Eifler Unternehmensgruppe” specializes in the production of high -tech coatings of steel parts of a responsible purpose.

In addition to Eifler, the Franz Rotter unit made two acquisitions in China: in Shanghai and Shenzhen, thus increasing its presence in the southeastern steel market. Both Chinese plants produce exclusively special steel.

Voestalpine plans to increase sales of special steels to 5 billion euros by 2020. In accordance with this decision, the Department of Special Songs already has 60 metallurgical plants in 50 countries of the world, actively strengthening their positions in their regions.
