In January 2013, 27 countries of the European Union imported 1 million 489 tons of metal rolling, which is 36.6% more than in January 2012. This is stated in the monthly report of the Association of manufacturers of European Europer.
The lion's share in the total volume of imports occupied the supply of sheet steel. The import of flat metal rolling in the EU-27 grew in an annual calculus by 44.47% and amounted to 1 million 228 thousand tons.
Long -dimensional deliveries also increased by 9.6% and amounted to 262 thousand tons. The import of galvanized steel grew by 22.6% - to 265 thousand tons, a hot rolon by 30% - up to 449 thousand tons. In addition, sale of car tires increased. All values in relation to January 2012.
The main supplier of the metal distribution in the European Union remained the Russian Federation, followed by China, and Ukraine was in third place.
As we have already reported, in January 2013, the European Union countries increased the export of metal rolling in an annual comparison by 5.49% - up to 1 million 303 thousand tons.
