EMZ shareholders do not need money

The shareholders of the Enakievsky Metallurgical Plant Metinvest included in the Ukrainian group yesterday at the general meeting unanimously abandoned dividends for 2012. The audience decided to give their money to repay the losses of past years. This was told by one of the shareholders of EMZ, economist of the investment consulting department of the plant Mr. Alexander Kushnarev.

How long losses exist in EMZ and in what quantity it is unknown. As we know, last year the net profit of the plant amounted to 69 million 431 thousand UAH, and in 2011 it was three times more - 249 million 280 thousand UAH. At the same time, the production indicators of EMZ are steadily growing year from year. So in 2012, the production of metal rolling increased by 4.3%, and the smelting of steel by another 2.3%

Moreover, the production of steel and metal rolling continues to increase without any state support, the need for which so much is said in Ukraine. Only in January-February 2013, the production of steel on EMZ increased by more than 1% and amounted to 458 thousand tons.
