The Japanese authorities launched a unique national system for collecting and processing the former use of household appliances: mobile phones, cameras, microwaves, televisions, etc. From which it is planned to extract precious and rare earth metals for one billion dollars. It is reported by ITAR-TASS.
The government entrusted the local municipal authorities who perceived the idea of higher -ranking state -owners without much enthusiasm to collect the thrown household appliances - the fact is that most local authorities in Japan do not have the experience of collecting baurian household appliances and are not ready to allocate their employees for these purposes. To date, only a third of Japanese municipalities have expressed a desire to take part in the national collection and processing system.
According to experts, Japanese citizens and organizations annually throw 650 thousand tons of various kinds of household appliances on the trash with the proper disposal of which can be mined for more than $ 900 million.
