Türkiye increased the export of steel pipes by 5%

According to data provided by the Turkish Association of Steel pipes manufacturers in March 2013, the total volume of pipe exports amounted to 183 thousand 903 tons of which is 17% more than March 2012. Revenues from the export of steel pipes increased by 7.4% in annual terms - to 156 million 500 thousand dollars and by 11.8% compared to February 2013. According to CEBID, the Turkish industry managed to turn off the descending trend of this year and begin the decisive increase in the export of steel pipes at the end of the first quarter, reaching a total increase in shipments by 4.35% and export 463 thousand 516 tons in the first three months. However, the profitability of this exports is slightly lower than in the first quarter of 2012. The total revenue amounted to $ 413 million, demonstrating the fall by 1.5% in annual calculus.
