Rinat Akhmetov invested about 18 billion hryvnias in the modernization of his plants

Last year, the Capital Management system (SCM) of the Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov invested in updating their assets excluding personnel acquisitions 17 billion 980 million UAH, which is 15.7% more than in 2011 (15 billion 163 million UAH). This is stated in the message of the press service of the SCM.

The report indicates that 10 billion 330 million UAH was spent on the technical modernization of production, and 6 billion 120 million UAH was on business development.

Our main task is to properly prioritize in our investment policy so that our enterprises are ready to withstand competing in world and domestic markets, primarily by improving the quality of products and reducing costs". - said General Director of SKM oleg Popov.

In 2012, priority investment projects for the SCM were launching the installation of the preparation and blowing of dust fuel (Put) and a new turbocharger for domain furnaces at the MMK named after Ilyich, as well as the beginning of the preparation of the construction of the Put installation at the Enakievsky Metallurgical Plant (EMZ), where in addition, a modern domain furnace complex was put into operation, equipped with the most advanced European technologies, including the latest control systems. Also in 2012, the construction of the ASU-1400 air separation unit for EMZ began.

The report indicates that in 2013 the main projects for sending the investment will be the reconstruction of blast furnaces at the Ilyich and Azovtsal MMK, the construction of a Put at the Enakievsky Metzavod, a phased decommissioning of the Martinovsky stoves and modernization of the dashcass production of metinvest, as well as the reconstruction of DTEC power units.
