In January-February, Russian metallurgical companies exported 5 million 500 thousand tons of black metal rolling, which is 6.2% less than in the same period in 2012, the Federal Customs Service (FCS of Russia) reports.

The price of Russian exports of metal products fell by 14.1% - up to 3 billion 47 million dollars. At the same time, 4 million 677 thousand tons were sold in the far abroad in the amount of 2 billion 458 million dollars (-9.7%) and to the CIS countries - 683 thousand 600 tons in the amount of 542 million 700 thousand tons (+20.5%).

In January -February 2013, Russian consumers increased ferrous metal imports by 2.4% to 778 thousand tons, steel pipes - reduced by 1% to 124 thousand tons compared with the same period in 2012.

At the same time, in value terms, imports on the territory of the Russian Federation in the first quarter of 2013 decreased by 3.8% to 720 million 300 thousand dollars, and steel pipes opposite increased by 8.6% to 236 million 300 thousand dollars.

In the first two months of this year, Russian metallurgists reduced the export of ferroalloys by 6.2% to 144 thousand 100 tons in the amount of 282 million 400 thousand dollars, reduced the shipment of semi -finished products from carbon steel by 2.1% to 2 million 2,45 thousand tons by 1 billion 87 million dollars, a flat rental of carbon steel increased by 1.9% to 1 million to 1 million 87 thousand tons by 717 million $ 500 thousand, cast iron - reduced by 34.5% to 280 thousand 300 tons by 106 million 100 thousand dollars.

In addition, Russian enterprises in January -February 2013 retained exports of iron ore and concentrates at the level of last year 4 million 319 thousand tons, stone coal - increased by 16.6% to 20 million 683 thousand tons compared to the same period in 2012.

In January-February, the export of coke and semi-lane increased by 38.4% to 383 thousand 200 tons. In value terms, iron ore exports and concentrates decreased by 25.7% to 359 million 300 thousand dollars, stone coal - by 3.9% to 1 billion 870 million dollars, coke and semi -stop - increased by 32.9% to 90 million 400 thousand dollars.
