On Sunday, April 7, 2013, several thousand residents of the Italian Taranto were marching in the city center in protest against the Government Law on the salvation of the metallurgical plant polluting nature.
The thousands of a rally expressed the support of the Taranto prosecutor’s office and the judge of Patricia Todisk for a fundamental position in relation to the steel mill that, as proved in court, caused irreparable harm to the health of the inhabitants of the city of Taranto and significantly polluted the adjacent territory.
As stated in the reporting of the Italian Agenzia Giornalistica Italia, although the procession was not as massly as in December 15, 2012, but it showed that the townspeople can mobilize and succeed in their struggle for a safe environment for themselves and their children.
