According to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in February 2013, compared with January, Ukrainian companies increased the export of steel pipes by more than doubled, selling 122 thousand 370 tons of this metal production abroad. At the same time, the revenue from the export of pipes increased 2.2 times and amounted to 165 million 240 thousand dollars.
Including the export of a seamless pipe increased 2.3 times - to 78 thousand 100 tons, sales of large diameter pipes increased by 5.7 times - to 16 thousand 330 tons, and the supply of welded and profile pipes increased by a third to 27 thousand tons.
At the same time, in February 2013, Ukraine imported one and a half times more pipe products than in January, having bought 6 thousand 410 tons of steel pipes from foreign companies. At the same time, import costs increased by 28.8 percent, reaching an amount of 16 million 260 thousand dollars.
The seamless pipe was imported into Ukraine 3 thousand 850 tons (+29.6 percent), a large -diameter steel pipe bought 640 tons (+370 percent), and 1 thousand 680 tons (+66.3 percent) were purchased for a welded and profile pipe).
In the annual comparison in February 2013, the import of steel pipes decreased by 8.9 percent, and exports also decreased - by 29.4 percent.
