According to preliminary data presented by the Federal Statistical Administration of Germany, the adjusted turnover in German industry in February increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous month, after falling by 0.4 percent in January 2013 and decreased by 3 percent compared to February 2012.
The greatest growth in production was achieved in the automotive industry. In February, 3.8 percent more vehicles were manufactured than in January 2013. At the same time, car sales grew by 5.8 percent in the domestic market of Germany and 2.8 percent in foreign markets.
