The metal distribution was arrested by the prosecutor's office of the city of Taranto in November last year, as a component of the ongoing legal and political struggle for the future of the plant in the southern port city against the backdrop of serious long -term environmental and health.
ILVA lawyers filed a ban on the ban on the implementation on April 10, 2013 - the day after the Constitutional Court rejected the prosecutor’s claim that last year’s government decree "On the salvation of ILVA" is unconstitutional. This means that metallurgical production at the plant can be carried out without any restrictions on the period of reconstruction and modernization of treatment facilities.
