The production of cast iron in Ukraine in the first quarter of the current year, according to WorldSteel, in an annual comparison increased by 2.1 percent - to 7 million 268 thousand tons. This allowed Ukrainian metallurgists to climb the seventh step of the world ranking, overtaking Germany, Brazil and Taiwan.
In accordance with the statistics of Wjrldsteel, in the first quarter of 2013, China remained the leader in Chugun with 8.1 percent with an indicator of 178 million 224 thousand tons.
The total volume of cast iron production in 38 countries in the first quarter of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012 increased by 4.3 percent - to 290 million 633 thousand tons.
