Iran will launch the largest coke -chemical plant in the Middle East

Iran is preparing to launch the largest coke -chemical plant in the Middle East with an annual performance of 900,000 tons in the central city of Isfahan. The new object for the production of coke isfahan's mobarakeh Steel Mill has already joined. The opening ceremony of the plant took place on Wednesday April 24, 2013 with the participation of Iranian President Mahmoud Akhmadinejad.

In addition, gas released during the production of coke will be used as fuel for power plants operating in the network of a steel plant. As part of the project, it is planned to create 481 direct and more than 12,000 indirect jobs. The Iranian president is also going to attend the event of the grand opening of the largest oxygen factory in a country with a production capacity of 60 thousand cubic meters per hour. He also plans to open 2 power plants with a total production capacity of 110 megavatts in this city.

Iran is the largest manufacturer in the Middle East and North Africa. The main steel -smelter plants of the country are located in Isfahan and Huzestan. The main manufacturers of steel in Iran are Mobarakeh Steel Mill, it accounts for 47%of the total, Khuzestan Steel Company - about 23%, ISFAHAN Foundry - about 20%, and Iran National Steel Industies Group - about 10%.
