In accordance with the latest market information in the CIS, steel plants continue to face serious pressure due to sluggish world demand and reducing prices for these products.
A decrease in steel prices is observed over the past 25-30 days. As a result, the blanks - decreased by $ 25 per ton; reinforcement - decreased by $ 10 per ton; Katanka - decreased by $ 15 per ton; HRC (UKR) - decreased by $ 40 per ton; HRC (RUS) - decreased by $ 50 per ton; sheets - decreased by $ 40 per ton; CR (UKR) - decreased by $ 20 per ton CR (RUS) - decreased by $ 20 per ton. Since the region enters the period of a long weekend next week, which usually lasts until May 13, a similar situation in the market will remain without changes for the better.
Export prices in the CIS are in a difficult position, especially in the segment of a steel blank. Although the prices for steel blanks remain at about 510 - 515 dollars per ton, the finished product in the market reveals weak trends in maintaining the quotes of the previous week against the background of slow demand and negative sentiments. To get orders, it is necessary to reduce the prices for the workpiece and slabs, and for the blanks, the price shift is even slightly larger.
The CIS metals market shows a negative result
