The Mariupol Metallurgical Plant Azovstal in the first quarter of 2013 received a clean loss of 611 million 967 thousand UAH, which is a quarter less than in January - March 2012. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
The financial results of the Azovstal remained negative, but became less than 25, 2 percent and amounted to -722 million 767 thousand UAH. At the same time, net income decreased by 14 percent to 5 billion 219 million 135 thousand UAH. The outstanding losses on March 31, 2013 reached 5 billion 48 million 311 thousand UAH.
As reported, the Azovstal metallurgical plant in 2012 reduced net income by 26.2 percent compared to 2011 - up to 22 billion 790 million 13 thousand UAH.
The company completed 2012 with a net loss of 2 billion 695 million 424 thousand UAH, while in 2011 it amounted to 507 million 502 thousand UAH. At the same time, the negative financial result before tax at the end of 2012 amounted to 3 billion 193 million 548 thousand UAH, and in 2011 - 505 million 567 thousand UAH.
