Yesterday, a special commission was created in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, which will be engaged in licensing the economic activity of enterprises engaged in the workpiece, processing of scrap metal and non -ferrous metals, determine the recommended volumes of export of scrap metal, as well as consider applications for the export of scrap and distribute the corresponding quotas. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development.
On April 29, 2013, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Igor Prasolov signed an order, which was appointed head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activities of the Ministry of Economic Development Yuri Petrovsky.
The commission, among other things, will determine the recommended volumes of scrap metal exports to ensure compliance with the balance of the formation and consumption of scrap metal in order to provide the needs of domestic metallurgical enterprises using scrap metal for the production of products with a larger added value, as well as other subjects of foreign economic activity.
As reported, the use of metal scrap in the world declines, or rather does not change despite an increase in steel production.
