The Czech company Evraz Vitkovice Steel, a division of the metallurgical division of the Russian group Evraz, on May 1, 2013 will resume the production of steel and metal production after a month of forced downtime. This was reported in the company itself.
The production of steel in the Czech Republic was suspended on April 5 due to low demand for steel products in the European Union market and the availability of a sufficient stock of steel workpiece to ensure the work of the rental camp on existing orders.
"It was decided to resume the production of steel from the first of May. Further activities of the missile plant will entirely depend on market conditions in Europe," said the representative of Evraz Vitkovice Steel.
About 1,100 people work at the Czech Metallurgical Plant of Euraz, of which 280 are directly on the steel production line.
On April 11, the CEO of Evraz Alexander Frolov said that the company will study the possibility of selling Vitkovice Steel. “As for this asset, we will consider different options,” he said, noting that the company can on a permanent basis close the capacity of carbon steel and leave only rolling capacities, or completely sell the enterprise.
Tomorrow the Czech Metallurgical Plant Euraz will resume its work
