In the first quarter of 2013, compared with January - March last year, the Ukrainian metallurgical industry reduced the revenue from the sale of metal products to 48 billion 162 million hryvnias by 8.8 percent. This was reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
It also became known that in March of this year, the implementation of the metal rolling fell by 9.6 percent compared to last March.
At the same time, the average wage at ferrous metallurgy enterprises in March 2013 decreased by 10 percent compared to the previous month and amounted to 4899 hryvnias.
In general, in Ukraine, the average wage in March, compared with February, increased by 5.5 percent - to 3212 hryvnias, including in the industrial sector - by 2.3 percent - up to 3698 hryvnias.
