The American company Metalllus Inc. announced on August 31 that Michael S. Williams informed the company's board of directors of his intention to resign as Chief Executive Officer and member of the board of Directors, effective December 31, 2026.
Christopher R. Westbrooks, currently President and Chief Operating Officer of Metalllus, has been appointed to the Board of Directors. He will succeed Williams as President and Chief Executive Officer and join the Board of Directors effective January 1, 2027. Williams will remain with the company as a special advisor to the CEO and the Board of Directors until June 30, 2027. Metalllus called this step the result of a comprehensive succession planning process aimed at ensuring that the company adheres to its current growth strategy.
