The Turkish trade union of employees of metallurgical enterprises Tarkish Metal Union announced the decision to start a strike involving more than 115 thousand workers of metallurgical and metalworking industries. It is reported by Steel Orbis.
As of Monday May 6, negotiations between trade unions with employers Turgish Employers' Association of Metal Industries regarding the conclusion of acceptable collective agreements remained not complete.
Representatives of the Turkish Metal Union said that the tightening of negotiations started back in September last year significantly affects the interests of 115 thousand people, of which there are about 100 thousand members of this trade union.
The head of the Turkish Metal Union Changiz Gul promised that if the employers of the negotiation process are further ignored by TOFAş, Arçelik, Otokar, Karsan, Mercedes Benz, Man, Ford Otosan, BSH EV Aletleri, Hema Endüstri, Compenanta, Türk Traktör, Delphi, çolakoğlu, Borusan Mannesman and İçdaş will begin an unlimited strike this week.
