Ukrainian veterans of the Great Patriotic War raised a pension to $ 300

From May 1, 2013, the size of the pensions of the participants in the military operations of the Great Patriotic War and the disabled II and III groups cannot be less than 2547 UAH 90kop, which is 285 percent of the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work. This was reported in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

According to the government resolution dated March 13, 2013 No. 151, the pension fund bodies have already recalculated pensions to thousands of war veterans, who turned 85 years old. At the same time, the veterans themselves did not apply to the organs of the fund.

“If such persons are assigned for special merits to Ukraine, then the amount of the pension payment was established above the specified amount. Funds for the payment of pensions to war veterans were laid in the budget of the Pension Fund, so each of them already received the payments due to him in the first decade of May, ”commented in the pension fund.

The analysis shows that as a result of recalculation, an increase in the average size of the pension of veterans was 639 UAH (it was 2198 UAH - it became 2837 UAH).

After December 1, 2013, the average pension payment for this category of citizens will increase in connection with the implementation of the next recalculation taking into account the size of the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work.

With allowances, raises, additional pensions, targeted monetary assistance, indexation amounts and other surcharges for pensions and monthly state targeted assistance, which are determined in the legislation, from December 1, 2013, the average pension of war veterans will be 2704.65 UAH.
