Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises reduced the production of metal products by 7 percent

The total production of metallurgical products in Ukraine decreased in January - April 2013 by 6.9 percent. This was reported by the State Statistics Service.

The production of metal rolling in the first four months of this year decreased by 5.2 percent, to 6 million 70 thousand tons, production steel without semi -finished products obtained by continuous casting - by 4.5 percent, to 5 million 413 thousand tons, the melting of cast iron increased by 0.8 percent, to 9 million 667 thousand tons.

The report said that the production of hot -rolled metal metal rolling from illegal steel in January - April 2013 compared with the same period in 2012 increased by 4.2 percent to 2 million 71 thousand tons. At the same time, the production of a flat hot -rolled rolled steel made 531 thousand tons, which is 42.7 percent less than in the same period last year.

At the same time, the production of rods and rods almost doubled - by 95.7 percent, amounting to 1 million 27 thousand tons in January of this year, while the manufacture of steel profiles also increased by 8.2 percent to 796 thousand tons.

In January - April 2013, Ukrainian metallurgists reduced the production of semi -finished steel semi -finished products, including a continuous casting of 2.8 percent - up to 5 million 899 thousand tons and rolling and forged - by 0.5 percent - up to 2 million 174 thousand tons.

As reported, in 2012, Ukrainian metallurgical plants reduced the production of metal rolling by 5.4 percent - to 18 million 457 thousand tons.
