Over the next five years, Japan will allocate more than $ 2 billion financial support to Japanese enterprises involved in mining in Africa.
The Minister of Trade of Japan Toshimitsu Motega made an appropriate statement at the joint Japanese-African conference on the development of resources held in Tokyo this Saturday. This was reported by the Japanese news agency Kyodo.
Financing African projects will be carried out through the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corp (Jogmec) state corporation, the report said.
Today, a number of Japanese companies are involved in resource projects in Africa, including Mitsui & Co, the LNG project in Mozambique and Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Active development of coking coal in the same mosambics.
