Over the past week, export proposals in the Black Sea ports were at the level of $ 500 FOB per ton of steel workpiece. Prices continue to remain under pressure.

The price of the reinforcement amounted to 560 dollars per ton, rollers - $ 570. The hot -rolled steel of Ukrainian production in rolls is offered in the price range from 520 to 535 dollars per ton, while similar Russian products costs from 540 to 550 dollars per ton.

Metal distribution in large quantities is usually transported by sea. In the ports, he loads on the ships with the help of slings. A steel cable or chain is usually used as the material of the slings, but in some cases the use of slings from a durable textile tape is allowed.

Significant competition from China and Japan does not allow to raise the price. For example, Indian consumers today receive Chinese drooping for $ 580 per ton with delivery to the enterprise (CFR) and received offers for the next month at a price of $ 540 per ton of CFR.

This level of offer (if we take the Ukrainian FOB, it turns out less than $ 500 per ton of Katanka, which is 70 dollars cheaper than today's Ukrainian proposal) reflects the level of aggressiveness of Chinese metallurgical plants in the market, moreover, the next month of the average daily production of steel.

The pressure on the price in the regions of consumers of the Ukrainian and Russian metal rolling also occurs from the weakening of the Japanese yen against the dollar. At the same time, this region also affected the overproduction.

As a result, Japanese and Chinese metallurgical companies take volumes from the traditional markets for the CIS steel exporters. It is likely that Russian and Ukrainian metallurgists will have to go to the difficult correction of prices for them to counteract the Chinese attack on the markets. Traiders expect that in the coming days the prices in the ports of the Black Sea will drop to 470 - 480 dollars per ton of the workpiece and 480 - 490 dollars for a hot rolled roll.
