The top managers of Russian companies of OJSC Atom-Industry and Zio-Podolsk OJSC, accused of embezzlement of more than 145 million rubles, will be trial. This was reported by the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, reports RIA Novosti.
The criminal case under the article "Fraud" was sent to the Petrograd District Court of St. Petersburg. For the delivered rental of inappropriate quality at the Beloyarsk NPP, they face up to ten years in prison.
"From 2008 to 2009, Shutov, Golubev and Fedorov provided the conclusion between Zio-Podolsk OJSC and OJSC Atom-Industry, which is not a manufacturer of metal products, a transaction on the supply of sheet rental at artificially high prices. Moreover, the steel allocation acquired by Zio-Podolsk OJSC was intended for the manufacture of equipment of the power unit The Beloyarsk NPP, in connection with which it was supposed to meet the submitted standards, ”the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation said.
Meanwhile, in fact, Azovstal production made of cheaper steel and not meeting the stated requirements came to the nuclear power plant. The amount of damage as a result amounted to more than 145 million rubles.
